Lapse in employment history on resume?

How do I say or what phrase do I use on an employment history on both applications and my resume for the time I have been "unemployed" staying home with twins (and my other two) I ended my state employment in January 2005 due to the birth of twins and cost of daycare. I have four kids total, but the older two were 14 and 16 when they were born. I quit due to the cost of daycare for two and they were preemie. I am going to apply again for state employment, which can actually take months to get, but need a phrase for my lapse of employment that sounds professional. I was a clerical assistant with the state for 5 years, a bank teller or bank clerk before that for 14 years.
