Interesting aspects/ events in Hispanic culture(s)?

I have to choose a subject for a little school project; it can be about anything related to a Hispanic country, so I want to ask which aspects or events you find interesting in Hispanic culture.
Sorry if the question is too general, but it can be anything, like an artist, or just a work of art, an event, a piece of news, a social phenomenon, etc.
