Geography Board game project for school help?

I need to make an educational board game for the country of puerto rico. Im having a hard time thinking of how I can incorperate their culture into the game while making it educational at the same time. Does anyone have any ideas? What I was thinking was doing something about the taino indians and how they would take spirutal hikes up to the top of a mounatin where their god lived. I don't know how I can make it cultural though. Please help. Thanks
