Well, in dietary way. The northern chinese main staple is made from flour or wheat, but rice for the south; northern people intake more meat than southern. Linguistic way, each different area got different dialects that accents in many place got their own specific pronounciation such as Shanhai wa, kentonese, hokkanese and some other northern and inner land dialects like tibets, mongolian. In personality, northern people is kind outspoken and blunt, but sophisticate for the southern. In climates, northern is in freezing zone and the down southern part is tend to be subtropical. Therefore, the botanical spreading is quite different from each other. The ethnic characters are also different, northern people are tending taller than southern ones. And their facial features are long rather round in south. For custum side, people from inner land and some special racial dress in dull color compared with people living in the coast. In the same way, the previous one are commonly doing in horiculture, be poor compared the later ones most doing business and live in richer life. In the history, the people from coast lines migrated abroad than the inner people. Geez!! There are a lot of things I could tell, but man, it is too much to do your homework. Guess you got to grab any chinese you bump into on the street to ask more informations.
