Im doin a case study in relation to the erosion wich is hapenin along d Holderness coast(England). At d moment i am studyin the efect that the erosion has on setlemnts such as Bridlington.
I understand dat wen people move away from the urban areas(the city)to rural areas(the countryside)its caled counterurbanization. However, I am curently tryin 2 talk about the efect erosion wud hav on Bridlington if it wasnt protected by any sort of sea defence. In brief; no protection=decrease in tourists=buisnesses earn less profit + less income=many buisneses ar lost=people lose their jobs. If people lose ther jobs it cud be liable that they move away from bridlingtn in serch of job opertunities elsewere. + with people moving away from bridlington due to the danger of th eroding coast etc - Very similar to counterurbanization but its not a city is it?So:
1) Is Bridlington urban or rural?-I hav always been sure Rural but now im just confused
2) if its not counterurbanisation, what do i cal it?
all answers and any other info' will be greatly apprechiated, thanx
