In political boundary shaping and human geography, what is a geometric boundary?

Please don't get mathematical on me. I'm discussing governmental boundary formations in a geometric formation sense.

geometric boundaries are boundries that are formed off of lines of latitude and longitude, or angles created by other people. They are lines completely made up by people.

They differ from geographic boundaries as something that is natural (river, mountain range, watershed etc).
