should i keep reminding my parents i have heart disease even if they get mad at me?

i have mild heart disease, and there are certain things i can and cant eat and do, but when my parents ask me why, they get mad at me for saying its heart disease because they say im exaggerating. Should i teach them until they get it or should i just say 'yep your right' and take care of myself quietly? (i thought this was something you were supposed to talk with your family with)

I might try to educate them about the heart disease and some of the restrictions it causes. They might understand better then.

It's difficult to teach things to people they don't want to learn. Eat right and leave the food you don't want alone.
