Can a patient been diagnosed as ischeamic heart disease heal from the disease?

I was diagnosed as IHD last year. I had been on medication at that time. I was on GTN, Asprin, Isosorbite, Atenolol and Lovastatin. However, I had under go 2 time stress ECG and finally my physician said is OK. I stop my medication after half year on it due to no more pain and the stress ECG didn't shows an obvious changes. Now, the pain is coming back again but it is very mild and not sharp or daw. Just like been press a little hard for 5 to 6 second then it goes less and less and then disappear itself without any action. I am wondering, shall I go for another stress ECG again?
