need to know about the education system in other european countries?

hey, can anybody please tell me if other european countries do only a few subjects (3-5) at A-level equivalent standard. When they are aged 16-18. Could you please tell me which european countries that do this if possible, and the ones that do not do only a small number of subjects at A-level

Can't answer about other countries but in France they do the International Baccalaureate (think that they do in Spain too). They must take 6 subjects and must pass in all 6 to go further. They must take a foreign language, maths, science, geography, history or another similar subject also an arts subject, and say, psychology or philosophy etc. They must take a minimum of 3 subjects at higher level and the rest at standard level. I think that it is harder than A levels. They are normally taken between the ages of 15 - 19.
