Child Birth education classes.. Any good?

The ones that the hospital recommends. Are they worth going to?? Or does your body know automatically what to do?

I had them at my house with a nurse and again at an organizataion in my area. They were much better then the version the local hospital offered. They came in handy, had to ask fewer question because I knew better what to expect. Your body dose know what to do, but will you know how to get though the pain and stay focused? The classes may teach you a few methods of staying calm that will help in the end. In the ones I has I also learned a bit what to expect in the first few months of baby's life, breastfeeding tips, how to clam a fussy baby. ect. Go to a few if you don't like them don't keep on going or find a diffrent birth class in your area.
It also helps to have someone in the room with you who has been there.
