we do get sex ed but they give it to us too young and we think it is a joke. nobody takes health class seriously. teens are getting pregnant bcuz it is a "trend".. they get into these relationships and have sex for fun and think they want a baby just so they can say they are pregnant but they dont realize what comes with and after pregnancy, a HUMAN BEING BABY. then they dont want to take care of it bcuz they are too busy thinking about themselves and partying. more teen mothers need to speak out in schools, not boring old health teachers that no one listens to.

There are sex edu. classes. When I was in school I had to take like 3 of them. Of course, the state I lived in (CA) has high education standards. But honestly, I don't think that sexual education classes will prevent teen pregnancies. Teenagers do what they want to do and they usually don't believe that bad things will happen to them. Besides, when did it become the school system's job to educate children about sex and not the parents?

i understand your question completely. in my opinion there isnt enough sex ed in our schools. however. teens dont get pregnant because they arent educated about it. they know how it happens. also, did you know that the percentage of teen pregnancy is down quite a bit from even 5 years ago

I've always thought we need more appropriate school programs. I'm sorry but absence only doesn't work. Study after study and they come up with the same conclusion-- it doesn't work. The least of these teachers fears should be pregnancy. I mean what about all the STI's going around? In actuality tough, the teen pregnancy rate has gone down in recent years, however I still thing it's an issue that educators need to deal with. I'm 21, and never had a sex education class the entire time I was in grade school, and I went to public school, which is a bit scary.
