| You need a 4 year undergrad degree in a related field - I would choose biology, chemistry, neuroscience, or psychology. Technically any major is fine, but those are the ones they like best. You do a 4 year medical degree, and then I think it is 3 more years for pediatrics or any other specialty. To be admitted to Med School, you need fabulous marks and a lot of volunteer work, etc. Toward the end of your med degree, you get "matched" to your specialty. I think ped's is pretty competitive. A lot of people don't get their first choice. Have a look at Dalhousie University's Faculty of Medicine site for more info www.medicine.dal.ca Good luck! |
