Continuing education? SOLD, finally.?

At age 26 I finally realize why should people go to a university. I am interested in knowledge vs. information. I went to tech school for auto only to find out that I don't like working on cars. I only like to think about them and theorize how to get better fuel economy and play around with the knowledge that I have. This tells me that, to figure out where I want to go with my life I need to explore much more. Physics, Chemistry, Metalworking, Optics, Fluid Dynamics, etc all contain a lot of math, which I hate. So, I guess Im going to have to look at Psychology, Literature, Philosophy etc. It all interests me, just not that much.
The question really is; What can I do for a Cheap education (liberal arts or otherwise) if I don't care about the paper that says that I know my stuff. A degree can Kiss my @$$. I just want to be smarter and dislike the majority of the public less. I would like to help people by knowing the solution to their problems but I dont want to be $20k in debt for it.
