| What do you think of education in the US after reading some questions on YA? I read questions and answers on YA a lot, as I am sure most of you do. I don't claim to be the best speller in the world. I don't even have the best grammar in the world, but I know basics. I see questions written all the time with words spelled very wrong. For example: I am a top contributor in pregnancy and trying to conceive. I see this all the time: pregnate = pregnant thighroide = thyroid I could go on with a list. But, when I see misspellings of basic words I wonder what is going on in US schools. It is somewhat frightening that this is what our schools are producing. What do you think? |

| I think that the responses on Yahoo!Answers reflect the laziness of Americans and not their lack of education. Most people know how to spell better than what I have observed. I appreciate good grammar. "thighroide"! Now, that is funny. |
