jojosmommy has a spectacular aura about
what education is required to be a morgue technician?

I have a degree in criminal justice and a certificate in forensic science. Is this enough or is there more that I will need to know or have "under my belt"?

geoff_hazel has a spectacular aura about
laws vary state by state. For example, in New York, this is the requirement:

A Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with an Associate's degree in Funeral Service Arts and Sciences or a closely related field; or,

B Successful completion of sixty (60) credit hours in a health related, science related or laboratory related curriculum from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees; or,

C One (1) year of work experience, or its part time equivalent, in mortuary or morgue service work, pathological laboratory work, or a closely related field; or,

D An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) (B) and (C).
