Christians & Religion: doesn't it take more than prayer and faith, to

get by in life? Maybe an education? I'm all for praying and preaching and saying and practising and yapping and teaching, yadda yadda schmadda,

but, we live in a largely business based world where you have to know many things simply to survive. YOu have to drive, be able to afford paying for your vehicle if it breaks down, know a thing or two about politics, food, relationships, SO many things. There are 10,000 investment companies in this country ALONE and just from one company, the stock market, human psychology. There are SO many things to know, and life itself is MUCH MORE COMPLICATED THAN, ITS GOD AND THE DEVIL.

Reality is much more complicated than the simplistic spirituality and adam and eve tale. And telling people simplistic things like that, and how to be noble and of God, may work in getting them to a higher plane SPIRITUALLY and making them be "saved" like you say, I'm not denying that,

but a) it won't guarantee food on the table.

b)won't help them MANEUVER themselves in this world very well
and won't help them understand life PERIOD.

I mean come on. What can religion teach you about automechanics, business, human psychology (other than religion).


I know that many religions don't actually deny education, but,

they preach religion like it's so important and their "truth" is the right truth,


but they don't really have a very truthful grip on the reality around us.

Not even the bible does.

The bible is very VAGUE.

VAGUE and full of "stories" and inconsistencies.

Oh and figurative speech and symbolism rather than literal meaning and saying things how they really are.


Then they convince you that anyone ( like myself) who doesn't 100% agree is not of god, of the devil, and you shouldn't listen to me.

That's absurd.

But seriously, why can't christians and religion ( not all christians),..just understand that real life

has much bigger fish to fry and concepts to comphrehend

than adam and eve? jeez.

this life is just as a spit in the wind compared to eternity.,yea there are other things to life ,but the Bible teaches to seek out first the kingdom of God then all life's necessity's will be added to you.another words is make time first to God,and he will make sure to provide you with the time for an education and the funds ,a job,etc....its the truth

Google Christian College some time….Yes we believe in getting an education and we believe in sending our children to college….however, life is always better when God is part of it.

If God made man to His likeness and the brain we have was given by the Most Intelligent, how do you get that we christians, preachers, whatever, do not seek education? True wisdom is the wisdom we get thru our studies of the bible. The beginning of wisdom begings with the fear of God. God is a God of wealth, greatness, intelligence, prosperity. The greatest and most gifted men in history believed in God. You should take out books and read and nourish yourself with this wealth of information. You and those who think like you have no concept whatsoever about God, the devil, spiritualism and being saved. A person that has been given the gift of intellect needs to combine these things in their successful life, those who do not fail at the end. Us "Spirituals" sometimes don't even have to go to University to get our degrees, it is given to us by the Almighty, while many who have obtained a master's degree can be as ignorant and poor as any homeless if they have not applied the principles taught in the best seller book, the Bible.
