British vs Candian Sytem of education?

I am moving to Canada and my kids are now in a British school. As you know the british system accept age of 5 for year 1. If I come to Cnada will the schools accept this as well and move my child to year 2 (she will be 6 by then) or will she have to redo year 1 again. Pls advice.
