Should teenagers be taught sex education over abstinence?

With the many diseases known today,abstinence seems like a safe bet. To promote abstinence everyone should be on the same page.
The heart rules when emotions run strong, the body's hormones, seem to demand a response, should we listen what our body wants?

Head or heart? What should you listen too?

Sweeping something undesirable under the rug doesn't make it go away. It's better to just get it out and deal with it. As a parent, I'd rather teach abstinence, but as a realist, I teach everything! And I'm there when they need to talk about it, without judging them. It's a lot better than the crap they hear from their peers...if you could only hear a typical middle school bathroom conversation!
