| What are the benefits and consequences of privatized education?
What is the justification for me, as a student, to have to pay thousands of dollars for textbooks, tens of thousands for tuition, hundreds for gasoline for the trip to school, in addition to my food, rent and living expenses? After I've put in all this money and years of my life, will I even have job prospects in this economy?

Private school is very expensive. A degree from a public university or college has the same creditability as one from a private school. Often private schools are much smaller and do not offer as many choices as a public school. Some people feel that you receive more individualized intruction at a private university, but you have to decide if all that extra cost is really worth it. But even at public schools, once you get those general education classes out of the way, usually within the first two years, you will have much smaller classes anyway. Good luck with choosing the right school for you.
