Its not really that surprising, the pc guys dont allow british history to be taught in schools, in case it offends anyone not born in this country.

Answer is simple. Throwing money at problem will not work. Slash the education budget and have a no tolerance attitude to children's behaviour and performance in school. Same for a lot of other things in Britain. Money doesn't solve the problem, the problem is one of attitude i.e NHS.

Typical. Its about time people remember the odd phrase you can bring a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Teachers on the whole do a marvellous job, however they can't force the information down children/students as some are more interest in the latest ring tones, bling jewelry and so on. The nails are already in the coffin, Govt policies over the last two decades have seen to that. Its about time the Labour and Conservatives listened instead to parents and teachers instead of creating problems.

My neices and nephews go to school in Haringay - they can recite all the Black historic figures (Booker T Washington, Martin Luther King, etc) but when I asked about Florence Nightingale, Wellington or Nelson they had no idea what I was talking about. Worse this action is supported by the CRE who feel that it will benefit black boys who lack role models.

We need to stop the PC brigade from highjacking our history and the american film industry from altering it!

We've been going down hill since they removed the "Gollywog" from Robertsons jam so as not to offend.

The British history is frowned on as insulting to other races and we are slowly being led down the path of accept these people, accept their faith and kiss your @ss goodbye.

I read that story and actually laughed. Why should school kids be taught about old fa*ts like Churchill anyway. Its old news and things are happening now that they need to know about

I believe this has something to do with the immigration in European countries from people out of Europe. Some of them have not lived through the WWI and WWII,or never had any relatives involved in any of these wars,so it is irrelevant to them.
My grand father fought in WWII,so I know first hand what it was like.......go and ask an immigrant from Iran or India about WWII,and you will have a different answer.
Before you jump your gun and call me racist......it is my opinion,if you don't like it,I am not really bothered.
Everybody seems to hate America, but if it was not for their involvement in WWII,today Europe would not be as it is today .....on the other hand.......I do not know what is worst the Germans or mass immigration?
