Trouble with my family and my education.?

Hi, lately its occured to me that my parents are ashamed of me, they are not proud of me and I suspect that they don't even like me, for about a week now they don't even speak to me. (their has been tention for moths) I left school at 16 with hardly any qualifications and I think they resent that. Sinse then I have worked my butt of at college and I am just about finished my HNC in Social Science and about to start by HND which would let me into year 2 or 3 of a degree programme at uni. Everyone is entitled to a second chance and I am taking mine but they can't see that. I am proud of what I have acommplished and am hoping to achieve. Plenty individuals have made great successes of themselfes sinse doing badly at school. I really want to be a psychologist, but I don't get any support. My gran thinks I am a waste of space and says that I have not got a chance in hell of going to uni and becoming a psychologist she thinks the best I can hope for is working in tesco. Help please.

First of all....you have accomplished quite a bit...and so what? You made a mistake...everyone makes mistakes....but since then you have picked yourself up off of your butt and got on with your life...
I hate to say this...but it really doesn't matter what THEY think...what matters is what YOU think...and you sound like you are proud of yourself...and you should be..
Prove them wrong...stay in school and keep plugging along to achieve your goal...after all...it's you and what you think that matters...
Hopefully you don't live with these negative people...if you do, then try to stay away from them as much as possible...being around a bunch of negative people is draining to say the least...
No one is perfect...and I am sure they have also made mistakes in their lives...but of course, they won't admit to that...lol lol
You are doing great...so keep on doing what you're doing...you will be fine..continue to believe in yourself, even if no one else does...you can do it...anything is possible...and you sound like you are on your way to a great and positive life...

Prove them wrong! Keep working and studying, don't let their disappointments influence you into quitting. Show them your grades, show them the progress that you are making, let them see you studying and reading. Actions will prove you are serious so much more than arguing!

Your spelling isn't too hot (since not 'sinse' etc.)

If you want to get on a good course at uni and graduate you'll have to improve that and work very hard.
