How much violin experience/education is required for Orchestra membership?

How much training is required? High school (4) years? College degree in Violin performance? School plus experience? Natural talent? What?

Auditions for professional orchestras are (theoretically) based solely on how you perform at the audition. No degree is necessary. Tens of thousands of hours of dedication are.
