Will my past history sheet come up if I apply at other departments?

Will my past history sheet come up if I apply at other departments?

I applied to the Orange County Sheriffs department a day before I was deployed to Iraq one year ago. It was the first day of the employment process. On the sheet of paper they give you before you take the test, I put down that I sold drugs for about a week over 5 years ago. As a result they denied me. My question is will this come up if I apply at other departments?
