Opinions on nickname for APUS History?

I have to come up with a nickname for John Reed (the journalist) who was a member of the Reds during WW1. Do you think that John "The Vampire" Reed would be a good nickname? Since he was an attacking journalist and associated with Communism (and therefore a red color to represent blood), I thought it might be decent. He also kinda resembles one in his pictures.
Does anyone think this is good or if not, can you come up with a better one? thanks
