In my essay I have to pretend that I am the following:

George, a typical white male voter in the elections between the years 1793-1800. You are a businessman in New York City.

Discuss the elections of 1794, 1796, and 1800.
Who did you vote for?
Why did you vote for that candidate?
What happened between 1796-1800 that reinforced your political views or changed your views about the candidates?
Are your political views differ from your Southern neighbors? How.

I have already started...but am having some trouble...any information or facts between that time period would be great! I know who ran for president and who won. What I really need is if you were to pretend you were George, why would you vote for Adams in 1796 and Jefferson in 1800?
