Too much sleep...why? These are some reasons:- mono- depression- Sleep Apnea- Narcolepsy- weight gain- Migraine in the previous nightYou should check your doctor. I remember myself sleeping for close to 19 hours if I could get away with it due to depression. Have you've been sad recently?

Too much sleep...why? Possibly hormones and your age you have a lot of changes going on inside of you. Not only physical but mental to. It is not that unsual for some one your age to sleep for a long period of time. I would sleep like taht when i was your age.

Too much sleep...why? All of the answers, your thoughts too, are all possibilities! Only a doctor can properly answer your question. Not wanting to give you something else to worry about, but you sound JUST like me! I'm over 40 y/of age. I have Bi-polar depression. It runs in my family. With my Dad being a drunk/alcoholic he didn't know it was in the family bloodline (or at least he'd never admit to it). Then when I got out on my own, I started talking w/ his older siblings and learned a little. There's also the fact that at one time this went undiagnosed so my (our) ancestors may have had it w/o knowing. One doctor will send you to another who will probably send you to another and on and on, and so on. The best thing you can do is write down starting NOW, how you feel, the time, when your mood changes, what meds you take, the foods you eat, the drinks you drink (3-8oz glasses of water, 1 12 oz can of coke or diet pepsi), the vitamins you take at what time; keep track of every doctor you see, w/ their results; what time you go to bed, wake up, use the bathroom (how many times a day too). I know this is an awful LOT to do, but it WILL help in getting you the best care possible! {Take it from someone who knows all too well!!! Even my step-dad does this for my mother, who is presently hospitalized with angina attacks.} When you keep track of stuff in your head to tell, ppl think you are making it up as you go, looking for attention or sympathy.Whatever you do, do NOT ever try suicide over this chit! It doesn't work PERIOD ALWAYS remember GOD will never lead you to something, if HE isn't gonna pull you through it!!!!!!Prayer works (maybe not when you want it or how you want it )Have faith.Good luck in life! Best wishes! I get this feeling you haven't heard my next statement in a long time----I LOVE YOU! I don't have to know you to love you; and by all means, I am not speaking of physical love.Once in high school, I came home after school and w/o stopping I put down my books and told my Dad I was gonna take a nap--I'll be up in a couple of hours; it was Friday, before 3:30...........I woke up at 10PM SUNDAY. That is a true statement.
