What importance do u place on your genetic history? Do u feel it has or...

...holds any relevance to ur life ? I was wondering how the choices of our ancestors impact the lives of us today. R your moral codes and beliefs in line with ur family history or have u navigated your own way through life?

i don't place any importance on my genetic history, although i do think it has relevance to my life. morality is taught through generations, parent to child and so forth, so my moral codes are pretty much in line with what i have been taught by my parents, yet my belief system has been influenced by society as a whole if I'm being perfectly honest, as a child i was raised christian, then at school with the people i met, i was influenced by others, as my world grew bigger, so my belief system has evolved in accordance.

my moral choices aren't dictated by my ancestors. as far as my health goes, then genetic history is paramount. they could have something like sickle cell. that can be passed on.

My belief is that it is important to honor my ancestors.

It is also important to understand that just 10 generations ago you had over 1000 grandparents. (About 300 years) About 600 years ago, you had over 1 Million grandparents. Go back 900 years and you have over 100 Million grandparents in only 30 generations. I'm proud of my patriarchal family name, and those who make up "who I am", but far more focused on my Creator, who put it all in play. John 3:16
