| Why do people choose to deny history and atrocities commited in their nations' past?
I truly believe that we learn from our past, and that society as a whole should be exposed to the hard core facts regarding genocide, war, slavery, etc., in order to ensure that a lesson was indeed learned and that our future generations do not and will not witness brutal history repeating itself. However, if we are accused of one thing, we point the finger and blame another. Why is it so hard for people (across the globe), to dig into the past, and own up to historical facts?
