He voted against the King holiday, then went to Memphis this year and told African-American voters that he was wrong & he'd evolved. Said that it was crazy to tell our enemies when we'd leave Iraq, then set a timetable today (2013). Voted against benefits for war veterans even though he was a P.O.W., then said today that we must give our vets better benefits. Voted against tax cuts for the wealthy then changed his mind and supported them. Was against a guest worker program and now says that it will help Americans, even though it would put millions more out of work. Said that nothing was wrong with John Hagee's statements about Catholics and he would not denounce them, then said that his apology to Catholics was helpful.He also voted against a bill that would provide some assistance to the average American farmer.You guys are giving great answers, it's going to be hard to choose the best.

He is currently morphing into Barrack Obama according to his speech this morning. In 2000 he was considered to unstable by the GOP so they chose Bush. Next month, who knows?

I'd hate to say it, but John McCain is not alone. Hillary and Obama are equally as dishonest, just do the research. So is GWB and Bill Clinton for that matter. Thats politicians for you. Just vote for the guy you think is going to represent your concerns the best... there is no perfect candidate because this isn't a pure democracy. Also, John McCain isn't hugely popular among Republicans anyway.

He's a politician with a voting record and a lot of recorded sound bites (that's usually why Senators have trouble in Presidential elections - unless they're running against other Senators)That's a lot of ammo for mud slingingOh ya - the other two are in the same boat, but McCain has a longer track record to get ammo from. it's gonna get ugly - any way you look at it!!!By the way most of the stuff you mentioned about McCain is meaningless - funny thing I can't stand they guy - and you tried to make him look bad - but couldn't - - that in effect makes him look good - so - stop trying - you're only helping him.

How many years between when he originally voted against the King Holiday & now? Changing your mind after that many years is not the same as flip-floping.Saying the majority of our troops will be gone by 2013 is very different than saying they will be out before the year is over.Was that benifits plan well written? Or did it have a lot of pork attached to it?We need tax cuts, but McCain did not think the first version of tax cuts was well written.(Don't know details about his views on a guest worker program)When did he ever say nothing was wrong with John Hagee's statements about Catholics?
