Independence Day screw up (possible)?

In the scene where David (Jeff Goldblum) calls Connie (x wife) in the white house,

right as it rings, i swear i can hear Jeff Goldblum say "Dont hang up" right before he says it on the phone. Its very soft.

Did anyone else catch this?

the phone rings and then i hear it.. then she answers and then he says it to her.

Hmmm: will have to check that out... all i know is that Fox gave the original creators of movie a bunch of money to go make a sequel... they buried the idea in 2004 because they couldn't think of something different enuff from the first that would continue the same story... gave the money back...

I just thought he was pleading for her not to hang up when she discovered it was him on the line. This is one of my absolute favorite movies. I also love Armageddon.

yes i saw that...probably he just said it to himself because he is afraid that his ex wife will just ignore him.

It's also possible he was saying it to himself sorta willing her to not hang up before she even answered him. Who knows that is interesting though.
