You can do whatever your heart desires. It's your wedding! Emails are fine. You can do the decorating yourself. My friend's wedding had a fall theme. She went to Michael's (arts & crafts store) and bought pumpkins and fake autumn leaves. She also made centerpieces herself from stuff she found at Michael's. They have nice artificial flowers. If you're not the crafty type, chances are you know someone who is. My mom, for example, is VERY good at that kind of stuff. If the place you chose for your wedding has a lot of character, you may not need to spend a whole lot on decorations. A good tip to save money is to choose a place that looks great all on its own. Good luck! |

I wouldn't do an email thing, but you can do simple cards for invites (stores have them for kids like Valentines Cards). That's a cute idea Flowers, hmm...Carnations are the cheapest way to go, but at that time of year mums are going to be around, and their colors--orange and marroon and yellow and white--are great colors for Halloween. |

WOW, I love the Idea! Find inspiration on Marthastewart.com for handmade easy to do decorations for that holiday. I would do handmade invitation postcards. It would save on paper and it would cost less than an envelope. Emails are hard to save and keep as a memento. If you are wearing a black dress, I would not decorate in a lot of black color , try the ivory cream with orange and Gold accents. . So, you would stand out in black. The table clothes would be the cream color with pumpkin colored napkins the centerpiece would be two crows in a bird cage. or pumpkins painted with your Monogram and date laying in a pile of straw. I would add votive candles. I would NOT carve the pumpkins due to the strong scent. and it would be A LOT of work. Make sure EVERY one wears a costume. Good luck and congrats! |
