| Starting With The Invitations, Why Dont You Just Do Them On A Textured Paper That Is Trimmed In Maybe An Orange Color. Have The Info On The Inside, Fold It Lengthwise In 3's And Send It Out Like That. You Might Seal It With A Fall Like Sticker Or Seal It With Wax. For The Decor And Attire You Might Want To Go With Fall Colors. Use A Warm Yellow, Warm Coral, Chocolate Brown Or A Combo Of All Of Them. Decorate With Maybe Cornstalk And/or Straw Bales With Artifical Leaves...also Using Inexpensive Rows Of Small Lights (you Can String Lights And Make Almost Anything Look Fancy And Romantic). The Horderves Sound Like A Good Idea...but Just As A Suggestion You Might Want To Include A Good Deal Of Breads. That Is Inexpensive And Filling. |

| Last year I went to a Halloween Wedding. I was soo cool and so much fun. They did the ceremony like normal and the reception a couple of hours later we went with costumes. They were dressed as the character from the"Tim Burton's Corpse Bride". Their colors were purple and black. We had a fun time. Good luck with your planning!!! |

| Interesting. Candles and low lighting create an elegant effect, so you might want to consider having some kind of candles for the centerpieces reflecting off of mirrors--perhaps black and gold candles. I wouldn't miss the opportunity to send something real unique for the inviatations (in the mail), like a small bag of candy corn with an invitation in black paper attached to it. I'm assuming you want your guests to also dress for the occassion, which I'm sure they'll all enjoy. This is one unique wedding. |

| I'd do an off-beat invitation if you wish, but don't do it by email; it's too easily forgotten and you might be short on guests, plus if you need RSVPs it'd be nice if they mailed them back. If you are getting married on Halloween, you could request that the guests come in costume! That'd be fun. Have Trick R Treat containers on the tables so guests can eat candy out of them.

| Let's see... You could probably carve out pumpkins and place dark orange and red colored flowers in them (use the pumpkins as vases!!). Those could be really cute center pieces on tables- and they are big enough that you wouldn't really need anything else (maybe just a few artificial fall colored leaves scattered around the base). See if you can get a deal by purchasing so many pumpkins at once- I'm sure they'd be willing to work something out for you! Also, as someone else mentioned- you can use hay bails for decoration. And you may actually get those for free!!! If you ask around to local farmers, many of them would allow you to "borrow" a few bails for the night, as long as you return them without any damage (especially alcohol spilled on them, or confetti, etc.). One small piece of advice with that, though- double check and make sure that they use square bails! It wouldn't be as cute if you had huge round bails (which is most common around my area). Good luck!! I'm sure it'll look really nice, and hopefully you can save some money!! |

| Some people might think the email invitation thing isn't proper etiquette, so that is something you might want to consider. It wouldn't bother me, but it might bother some. I would probably call the people and invite them, rather than sending out emails, but only if the number of people invited isn't too large. If you end up calling or emailing with the invitations then I would explain that you are going eco friendly and aren't planning on sending out invitations through the mail. I would use some pretty fall colors to keep things more elegant. Maybe use gold, that red leafy color, etc. I am unsure of what flowers are available at that time of the year, but you could use carved or un-carved pumpkins for decorations. Also, if you do a search on the internet for Halloween wedding ideas then you might find something cool. I wanted to add that I just saw some burnt orange color bridesmaid dresses. They were really pretty and would fit with a Halloween wedding theme. A terracotta color might be pretty too. | You could set up a website for your wedding. Have details about how you got together, pics of u and ur husband to be etc and details of the wedding. Then send emails to people with the link. As for suggestions if u want more of an elegant feel think autumn (i think in America its fall) as colours etc if that makes any sense. Soft oranges and earthy colours. I would stay away from carved pumpkins as your centre pieces but use something with candles. Use lots of candles to create the atmosphere. As wedding favors you could give elegant versions of trick or treat bag. And for the record I think it is a fantastic idea. A Wedding people will remember. Showing your personality is a garanteed way to have the wedding u want. |
