| Do my fellow Christians know that the early church kept the Passover?
1 Corinthians 5:7 - Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth.
Apostle Paul also wrote.....1 Corinthians 11:23 - For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." 25In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
This was the night of the Passover.
Luke 22: 14When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. 15And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.
There were several Passover controversied between the Eastern and Western church in the 2nd century. Finally in 325 A.D. at the Council of Nicea, the Passover was officially abolished and replaced with the pagan holiday of Easter.
This is why it is prophesied that second coming Christ will bring the Passover in the last days.
