What day is Passover? .. March 22, 2008 or March 21, 2008 or April 19, 2008, or...

...maybe even April 9, 2008? I am a Christian.... and I am confused with all these dates and calenders and leap years and new moons and equinox's ...

Right now the two most common dates I get are March 22 and March 21... and I am especially curious as to the discrepancy here...

Thank You for your answers
Ok, I now see that some people celebrate passover on april 19th and some celebrate it on april 20th.... so obviously the "Leap Month" factors in here... and secondly there appears to be a discrepancy in days after the new moon(s) 13 days as opposed to 14 days...

the new moon in march is:

March, 7

and the new moon in April is:

April, 6

The first seder is at sundown on April 19, 2008. If you would like to look at other holidays, check out http://www.myjewishlearning.com/holidays/About_Jewish_Holidays/Five_Year_Calendar.htm
This website has the dates for the next five years. Hope this helps!

The new moon in Judaism was the actual sighting of the first crescent moon after the dark moon. Astronomically, we calculate the new moon to be the day the moon appears completely dark so there is a difference.
