What is a reasonable age for a child to walk home from school?

The school is only 3 blocks away from home.

i started walking to school at 10. in the morning i walked alone but i walked home with friends. it depends what kind of neighborhood you live in. i lived in a neighborhood who i knew who everyone was. you should decide if your neighborhood is save enough

It's so ridiculous that we even have to ask these kind of questions but that's the world we live in today. I'd say 9 or 10 - maybe you could find a neighbor whose child can walk with yours.
