Should I stay home from school tomorrow?

I had my period, my first real period, and itsa complete mess. Nomatter what it keeps overflowing, I cant keep my mind on school during the over flowing. I have to call my mom two times a day for new jeans. I'm a bit over emotional, like I get sad really easily during this. I cried today because I got two questions wrong on a math test! P.E is tomorrow and I dont know what to do! If my mom writes a note and I sit out then everyone will figure out I'm having my period! I really dont think I'm up for P.E though. Should I stay home tomorrow?

p.s: the cramps aren't too bad
This is my second day -_-.
you dont understand. It will get all around the grade that im having my period. I saw what happened to olivia and carly when that got out. I'm not going through that!

My first real period was like that too. If you don't have them already, ask your mom to buy you the heavy type pads with wings. Light pads=light periods, moderate=between light and heavy, and heavy=well, heavy. They are a little bit better. I wouldn't stay home from school for it though. Bring a jacket to school and keep it tied around your waist so if you do spot, then your friends won't see. But for PE, I would sit out. So if your friends find out you are on your cycle, who cares?

Is it spring break for you? If so please skip school and rest.

Otherwise talk to your mom and see if she thinks you should stay home.

Well... That is a really difficult thing to think about. But like everyone get's their period every once in a while so people can't make fun of you. The more you get it the better don't worry.. It will keep getting better. You can get your mom to write you a note and if anyone asks and you don't feel comfortable saying that you're on your period just tell them that you are not feeling welll or you hurt your ankle... No one will laugh if you tell them you are on your period though.. As long as they are mature they know everyone gets it.

Try going to school. The second day is always better than the first. Get a "ultra" pad, it will help...it only goes up hill..

Good luck sweetie!!!

Have your mom write a note to get you out of P.E. if necessary

Well, if you are going to have to call your mom twice for new jeans, then I would say yes. Plus.. since it keeps overflowing I don't think you'll want to be going to the bathroom every hour.

GOOD LUCK!

i was like this too. just start getting used to it. you cant sit out all the time. just tell yourself...only _ more days then this hell is over.
you will have to get used to it at some point or another. and a period is nothing to be embarrassed about...just try to think of it more medically. its just another function. i don't see why so many people are so silly about it. you may want to try birth control though...i'm thinking about asking my mom for it.

Sure if she will let you stay home go for it. I know when I got my first period it was summer and I was able to get used to it all before school started. My sisters on the other hand happened during school my middle sister the first day of school and she was checked out and brought home. Its just all up to you and your mom. Periods at first can be nerve racking..try to relax.
