Kim M has a spectacular aura about
I need an example of 9th grade Curriculum Home School Plan?

I need to take my 9th grader out of school due to relentless verbal abuse from other students that pick on her. Her confidence has crashed and deep depression and sever anxiety has set in. She will not even go to school now, and wants to give up get a GED. I need help ASAP. The Home School Law in VA, states I have to give a 9th grade Curriculum Plan in order to home school her. These plans and materials are exspensive, and I am on a very limited budget. I do not want my daughter to slip into such a deep depression again that she will statt harming herself. This is tearing me apart to watch, and no help from the school. Any suggestion is GREATLEY APPRECIATED!

Since there isn't much time left in the school year, and you've already paid the school for her books (consumables, anyway - perhaps renting the texts), then you should contact the school about letting you borrow the materials for the rest of the year.

You could also look at transferring to a virtual public school. Here are some options in VA:

I'm sure you have time to get your teaching plan together - there must be a grace period. Yes, there is - I pulled this from HSLDA:

http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp?State=VA

<< File an annual notice of intent with local Superintendent by August 15; if starting or moving into the state after school year has begun, file notice as soon as practicable and comply with applicable requirements within 30 days of such notice. >>

All you need to include are "state objectives in language arts and math". You can start with that. You should be able to find used curricula online, or through local HS'ing groups. PaperbackSwap is a great place to get curriculum. Last week I rec'd a $120 textbook for free.

http://www.paperbackswap.com

There is a HS'ing forum there. You could post and ask if anyone has 9th grade curricula posted.
