Home-schooled....how to list on a resume or a job application?

My friend was home-schooled until the age of 17. What is the best, most appropriate way to list this on a resume or job application?

Instead of the standard format of what school, year, program etc., a short paragraph or point form statement ccould be composed under the Education section of a resume which states that the applicant was home-schooled, and some of the skills, opportunities, or interests that this flexibility allowed you to develop. Employers looking for creative, intelligent, self-directed employees are completely open to home schoolers, imho.

The oddness of his educational background will dog him from job to job until he eventually starts college. The sooner he continues his education, the better. He needs to get into a community college even if only part time. Once he excels in college/university, (like I expect he will because homeschooling is equivalent or better, in my opinion than the traditional schooling), he will be fine.

Good luck
