...school? He is a junior.? We live in Florida. He will be 18 at the end of this month. He is a smart young man but fails to follow house rules and fails to do school work. We have talked and talked and talked with him. We have been having the same conversation with him since he was 12. He leaves our house unlocked. He doesn't do any chores. He isn't honest. I don't want to go into every detail. He just doesn't do anything. He just says "Sorry." He justifies his behavior. He blames others for his errors. We can't go away for the weekend because we don't trust him. He knows he will no longer be living with us after his senior year whether he graduates or not. I want to know if we can make him move out after he is 18 if he has not finished high school.
I forgot to mention that we have had him in counseling and on meds previously. He does well with subjects he likes but if it takes the least bit of effort he does not do it.
