| should I stay in school or go home?
okay, I'm 18 and eight weeks pregnant. I go to nursing school were I stay on campus. I have to do class work which statrs at 8 am and ends at 3 pm. That's a no problem, but then I have clinical days that start at 5am and end at 4 pm. I'm pregnant and tired and i can't imagine doing this for the next six months. However, I won't be able to finish with my class any way because I have to go on medical leave at my 28th week. Now my baby's father goes to my same school but he is from another state. That's no problem because he want s to go to philly with me anyway. My problem is should I just stick out nursing school or do another trade like BOT that my school offers so I can be here with my baby's father until he finishes. What should I do. I don't want to come back to school after I have the baby. I already got my CNA so, should I just quit nursing school for now?

well, you're going to have to leave anyway, due to the pregnancy. if i were you, i'd weigh the options on whether it's absolutely necessary to stay or not, because only YOU can make that decision. you DO have your CNA, but you're obviously wanting to further your career and education. however, you are going to have a baby. if i were you, i'd stay in school. your pregnancy is only going to get harder as you go along. plus, there's the chance that you might not be able to, or have the time, to go back.

Well, I was in the same boat as you, only I was 20 when I got pregnant. I had already finished my first year so I took two years off to have my baby and raise her for the first year. You don't have to quit nursing school; just take some time off. Becoming an RN is my dream and I never let pregnancy rule it out. You can still go to school...just take some time off first. I'm so glad that I went back to school. You can and should do the same.

i would go as far as i could till i had to leave then i would go back after the baby if you don't then you may never go back and end up regretting it and you don't want to do that. Your body in time Will adjust to being pregnant. I worked with my last one and had a 2 year old to take care of also while having diabetes.
