My wife is going to have twins and we are happy parents. Should we home school ?

Today the world is full of sin and homosexuals that are telling the people it's ok and teaching this garbage in the schools. We need to tell the kids it's wrong and we will tell the world this is America.the land of the free. give me you comment on this subject?

Congratulations to you both and may your wife and your children be healthy through the pregnancy and birth. :-)

It's a little to soon to decide if you should home school. Since your children have not arrived yet.

By the time they are school age home schooling might not be an option. California voted against it so in my experience. Once one state votes against something other states follow voting against whatever.

Yes, you should. Your children seem to learn more and catch fewer diseases form other children. You don't have to try and deprogram them when they get home. Home schooling is altogether better for your children all the way around. Many people in professional fields today were home schooled.

i'm of two minds...

on the one hand, your kids will get individualized attention, be taught by loving people who are genuinely concerned about their education, have more opportunities to explore learning indepth. what a wonderful way to nurture a love for learning...

on the other, they will be taught in a vacuum, over-protected and indoctrinated against a world they will have to survive in. which would be a major disservice to them as they get older because they will not be prepared for it...

it's not a decision that anyone can make for you...visit some homeschools, look into what you would need to do to provide a well-rounded home education, complete with social experiences...and then visit local schools to see what they offer....

I agree with you about the shape of the world and all of that. I don't agree with home schooling. Going to a regular school teaches children how to interact with others. I know they'll have interaction with you and other family members and maybe other home schooled children, but it's different. I've seen kids that are home schooled and they're just weird. They don't know how to act when they're around a huge group of people. I can't really explain what I mean. Find some kids that are home schooled and observe them for a while. Then watch some kids that attend a public school. The kids in public school just act more normal.

No, a public school will be able to teach your children better than you would be able to.
