Does anyone think at least one parent should be at home full time until the...

...child is school aged? I said one parent, could be the mother or the father, at home, raising and loving the kid. I personally am disgusted that childcare is the place a generation of kids are being raised. I think it is sickening. And i'm a secular guy, I just find it so sickening. I'm not asking for some boring argument about dual income families being the only way to buy a house and afford a living either, i'm aware of this. On a theoretical level, do you agree you would be worse off if you didn't have a close parent around during your waking hours from say 0-5 years old?
This isn't a 'judgement' on any one individual who doesn't have a choice, it is certainly my opinion on how society and the economy have gotten to a place where the traditional family is often torn apart just by economic reality.

I also am of the view that women entering the workforce increased housing prices and totally reoriented daily economic life so that dual income families became the norm, and all the costs and standards of living adjusted to this money, with housing improvements, bigger expectations, social pressure etc.

I'm also sickened that the feminist elite look down on women who chose not to climb the corporate ladder and chose the traditional role of solid rock mother and carer... I think it is clear we can't have it all.

There is nothing more sickening than a newborn in childcare. And two days out of five of the woman's wages are spent on the childcare often anyway, and one day on the tax, wouldn't it be best to just live a frugal lifestyle and have one parent at hom
