What's better, home schooling or public schooling?

Where can my child get a better education? Home schooled or going to a public school? Cause next school year, I'm sending my 5 year old son to kindergarten and I don't know what to do! Home school him, or send him to a public school? I need your opinions! Also, is it better if I take him to a public school because he can socialize? Or should I just home school him and teach him myself? What do I do??!!
