Meet her outside on her walk home from school / the bustop. Offer to help her if she seems to be carrying anything and just chat it up. "How are you? How was school? Do you have lots of homework? Tell me about public school; are the lockers really tiny?" etc. Just stuff that you both know about and are comfortable with. Also, try to make her laugh. In Seventeen (a chick magazine you probably don't read!) the number one quality girls looked for in a guy is humor. Then a face, then body, etc. Just be yourself and she'll decide if she likes you or not.
