...teach my home-schooled children? I don't want them to have one of them immoral liberal educations. So, you wiseguys don't need to say "teach 'em that we evolved from monkeys." I want them to be smart, and to have the moral fortitute to survive in the real world.

The best guidelines to teach them are:

to treat others as they wish to be treated.

to choose their friends wisely.

to never lend money to anyone (unless they really intend it to be a gift instead.

to stand up for themselves (preferably with documentation) in the face of adversity, but do so politely and professionally.

I commend you for home-schooling. I do not have the patience to do it, even though I am a licensed teacher. I admire you for striving to find a good balance for your children. I believe time invested in our children today, pays off in the long run when they become the good citizens of tomorrow.
