How am I ever going to go to university? Please someone advice? :(?

I dont know what I can do.I have rent, and bills. Lots of them. Cant get out of a lot of them. I want to go to school to become a nurse. The program I want to take is 4 years long, and I can take some courses ahead of time to lighten my course load. Its a full time, intensive course. I wont be able to work that much, if at all.How am I going to afford to pay rent, bills, AND go to school??? I dont have the option of living at home with my mom. I dont have a lot of options at all.I feel so stuck. I can get a student line of credit from the bank of up to 40,000 but even that wont cover living AND school. How the hell do people do it?I am in Manitoba, Canada by the way.Should I just give up and be stuck forever in a go- nowhere job?

No. Speak to a guidance officer at your local CC - its free for prospective students. They will help you map out what is necessary to achieve your dream.ThanksBill

No, no, no. Just raise your head up a little and get some confidence. Sure, it may be a bit more work to get where you want to go, but it will all be worth it in the end. Talk to a guidance councellor at your local highschool (even if your not currently in highschool). Tell him or her about all the money issues and they'll give you complete expert advice, they know what they are doing. Also student loans are also an option, you can get a student loan at the bank or apply for OSAP or even both. This could help a bit, also when you talk to your guidance councellor ask him about any scholarships and stuff. some programs give away scholarship just by filling out a form or for writing a good essay. It will take a lot of work but I hope i helped!

At least if you finished the program and got the job, you would be able to pay back the debt. College costs about 3 times as much in the States as in Canada.

Don't give up. It will always be very difficult in going to school and working. Just hang in there! Right now, you can do both, until you start your program. Once you start in your nursing program, you will basically have to live off of loans and financial aid. Maybe family member can help you out?
