Trying to get best friend's date to like me again cuz she's trying to get me jealous wtf?

I'm a Junior doing an internship thing during the last summer, learning how to record information on genetic experiments. I have no experience with women whatsoever, I never had a female friend let alone a gf, and if a super pretty girl ever tries to hit on me all of the sudden, or even just talk to me, I would turn red and start stumbling all over my words. So there was this really cute sophomore girl who was also doing the same internship. Everyday we would see each other. One day, she dressed up super nice. Our boss took out a snakes from the cage and the girl pretended to faint on me so I had no choice but to catch before she fell on the floor. We both turned really red when I caught her while she still had her eyes closed so I obviously knew she was faking. Then she woke up and started saying all sorts of crazy things like "oh you’re so sweet, I'm so glad that someone like you caught me before I fell, Can I just lie on you for a few seconds." She said it in such a sweet voice that I couldn't help but be charmed. That was awkward cuz I was just standing there unable to respond to the situation. The next day I took a bus home after work and she followed me on all three buses that I took to get. I asked her if she was stalking me, she replied “Oh no, its just that I live really far away is all.” I asked her if she wanted to get a drink and her cute face sparkled up and she said yes. Every now and then, she would follow me to the bus stop after we were done working. So I gave her the nickname “my cute little stalker girl” which I call her every time we see each other. One of her friends asked me if I like her, but I didn’t reply. At home, I was searching up some information on the psychology of beautiful women. I learned that by playing hard to get, the girl will be more attracted, seeing as she can’t get what she wants. So I tested this theory out on the girl when we both went back to school. Our next class was in the chemistry lab where we were required to wear lab coats. She looked soooo adorable with her blue business shirt on and red skirt while wearing her lab coat >_< She asked me how I think of her look and when I tested out this theory, I replied “I got to tell you something, I think you’re a really cute girl and all, but I think of you more as a little sister rather than someone I want to go out with.” Wrong move, my experiment came crashing down and she went back to her seat with her head down. Next time I’ll think twice before performing that experiment. So the next week, she was going out with my best friend?! She still follows me to the bus stop once in a while. I never really see them hold hands except this one time when I was walking by and she immediately grabbed hold of his hand. I asked one of her friends how things were with two of them and her friend told me that she was trying to make me jealous? Then she told me that if I made a move on that girl tomorrow, it would make her day. So I became the stalker and followed them and pretend like I ran into my friend accidentally and struck up a conversation. The girl hugs and keeps bragging about how much she likes him. My friend tells me she usually doesn’t do those things. WTF is going on? Still, I’m pretty damn jealous now!What should I do????? I was thinking maybe I should go up to her during chemistry tomorrow and kiss her. Afterwards, say something witty like “I needed a saliva sample; I’m working on another experiment I’ve got going on.” What do you think?
