How can i get out of high school and be home schooled?

Please help me. I hate my high school i have to walk in all weathers from my home to get there making me ill, me and the school don't get on i hate everything about it. No other school will take me and i can't get a bus or coach. My attendance is bad because of this. I really need a home scholarship but i don't know how to get one. My mom has no degrees for teaching and she wouldn't put in the effort anyway she said so earlier. I think i need a home tutor who would come to my home to teach me, is that right?? Or could i just take a online course (s).....please help i really just want to leave my school and get taught from home. Also how can i persuade my mom to let me be homeschooled??

It sounds like you have brought this up with your mom, but have you talked to your school councelor about this?

Some schools will do home bound instruction, but it needs to be a situation where the student really needs to be home bound.

K12 is a great home school / distance learning program. Some states will provide money assistance for this program. It is a high school version of on line college. I use it with my kids and it's pretty easy for the parent to use.

The one thing your mom may really be concerned about is cost. Any home school program does cost money. The amount is very different for each of the different types of programs. The good news is - it's tax deductable. If money is the main issue, again, talking with the school councelers may help out. They have resources for grants and loans on educational tuition.

The school councelor is also the best place to start when it comes to getting an in home tutor from the school.

The main thing to remember is that high school will only be for a limited time (even though it feels like forever and seems like forever when you are actually working your way through it.) Sometimes it is best to approach it as though it were your job(In a way it very much is your job) and you are being paid in grades and the opportunities you will get from it. (such as the oportunity to go to college or get a better paying job that you couldn't get if you don't finish).

Just as not all jobs are fun, but sometimes very necessary for the things we need, school may be one of the things you will have to get through.

Do please talk to someone at your scool who is a councelor. I really think it would be a good thing for you to talk with them about all the things you have brought up.

Perhaps the councelor could even meet with your mom and help with mediating a conversation between you and her about the subject. Having someone who is an "outside party" help mediate the discussion can keep tempers cool and each person see the other point of view.

I had to send in a copy of my transcript from my old highschool and mail it to them then they continue where you left off and you only have to take classes you need. its 35 dollars a month but the full tuiton is 700.00 if you only need 1 year of school, and it goes it but not over 1400. its accreidted also by the us department of education so check it out. okay goodluck i hated highschool too.

I'm not sure how it works in the UK but in many US states a high school student can complete many required classes at community college while still attending regular high school. The credits earned apply toward high school graduation. Please don't quit. You will always be sorry later. Unfortunately, very little in life is free.
