| Is home schooling really THAT bad?
I don't think so.. I HATED my school. I went to public school in LA County from elementary to junior high. It was terrible. Teens got pregnant left and right, several young people were stabbed or shot right in front of the school, most teachers didn't give a dang what the students did, much less learned... and this was a high school in a more affluent part of the city, NOT somewhere impoverished or with a high crime rate. People would get beaten up every single day, and there were actual police on campus 24/7. A lot of people ended up dropping out, including myself. Now, I did get back on track, but some people don't. A lot of the time, high school is the opposite of a nurturing environment, which is important when you're so young. If I could have had a choice, I would have done home schooling, no doubt. I know it's not right for every person, but some people are against home schooling for basically all kids. What's with the stigma attached to home schooling?
