I really don't get how to answer the questions. Can you guys answer them, or just explain it to me? Thanks. 9. A colume of 50cm3 of dry sand is added to 30cm3 of water for a total volume of 60cm3. a) What is the volume of water that does NOT go into airspaces between the sand particles? b) What is the volume of water that does fill air spaces between the sand particles? c) What is the volume of the air spaces betweeen the particles in the dry sand? d) What is the volume of the sand particles alone? e) What fraction of the total volume of the dry sand is sand particles? 10. How would you measure the volume of granulated sugar? 11. How would you measure the volume of a cork stopper? |
